29.07.2008 | EdM's exhibition on Quai Wilson in Geneva
On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Enfants du Monde, the photo exhibition « Through the eyes of childhood» will be shown on the Geneva Wilson quai from August the 1rst to the 30th of September 2008.
This exhibition gathers 49 pictures taken and captioned by children from Switzerland and from southern countries that testify their perception of wealth, poverty and of their future.
To facilitate the exhibition understanding, a presentation texts have been translated in 4 languages (French, English, Spanish and German).
Cultural event of the summer, fun and interactive, the exhibition « Through the eyes of Childhood» offers an intercultural image of our mission and association and above all incites the passers-by to think about their values and way of living. The pictures illustrate the will of Enfants du Monde to mobilize a large public towards the importance of a quality education for all children, and more globally of the respect of their rights.
This sensitizing event wouldn’t be able to take place without the help of the town of Geneva, the Bank Pictet, the Geneva Federation for Cooperation and the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation.
