In collaboration with Enfants du Monde, the Guatemalan Ministry of education will offer online training for teachers to improve the quality of bilingual and intercultural education.
Enhancing the capacities of teachers to provide remote and face-to-face teaching to students
Starting 2021, schools in the two intervention zones of our Education program in Guatemala, Alta Verapaz and Chimaltenango, will welcome students by altering a week at school followed by a remote week. In order to support the quality of bilingual and intercultural education in this new form of education, the Guatemalan Ministry of education will offer remote learning courses for teachers with the support of Enfants du Monde. The aim of these courses is to adapt the teaching pedagogy and to design new bilingual and intercultural education activities.
To date, 468 teachers are registered to participate in the Enfant du Monde online training. Each group of about 50 participants, will receive a total of 4 days of training, one day per week.

- The role of the educational community: teachers, parents and students
- The creation of pedagogical activities to work on bilingual and intercultural education remotely and semi-face-to-face
- Educational tools and evaluation process to be carried out remotely and semi-face-to-face
